Professional Experience

Mr. Martin has more than three decades of experience providing industrial hygiene and environmental consulting services to public- and private-sector clients.

His project experience includes industrial hygiene exposure monitoring, indoor air quality investigations, asbestos and lead-based paint assessments, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, environmental and occupational health training, development of technical plans and specifications, ventilation evaluations, and oversight of asbestos and hazardous-material abatement projects.

His industrial hygiene experience encompasses commercial buildings, manufacturing and industrial operations, healthcare facilities, laboratories, construction sites, government facilities, mines, open-pit operations, and smelting facilities.

Prior to his consulting career, Mr. Martin managed occupational safety and health, fire safety, asbestos management, and construction design-review programs at a major state university. His responsibilities included personnel supervision and coordination with university departments, OSHA, and environmental regulatory agencies.

His work included industrial hygiene and safety assessments of university and medical facilities, laboratory safety, ventilation evaluation and testing, fire and building-code compliance, accident investigations, hazardous-waste safety, workers' compensation management, and employee health and safety training.
