Mr. Martin has 35 years' experience providing Industrial Hygiene and Environmental Consulting services to several public and private sector clients. Mr. Martin has directed industrial hygiene monitoring, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, training, Indoor Air Quality investigations, asbestos investigations, lead-based paint investigations, specification development and abatement project oversight. Mr. Martin has specialized in mining environments including open pit and smelting operations.
Managed the Occupational Safety & Health, Fire Safety, Asbestos, and Construction Design Review Programs at a major state university. Responsible for personnel supervision. Acted as departmental liaison to various university departments, OSHA, and environmental regulators. Performed comprehensive safety evaluations for the university campus and medical facilities. Mr. Martin has acted as the Health and Safety Officer for a Federal Superfund site.

Under the direction of a certified industrial hygienist, Mr. Pfister performs a variety of investigative, inspection and consultation assignments in the industrial environment. Summary
Michael Martin is an Industrial Hygiene Program Manager for ACT. Mr. Martin oversees consultation projects with private and public employers who are seeking to improve in all areas of OSHA compliance. In addition, Mr. Martin conducts employee training, Industrial Hygiene activities, and evaluates Safety and Health Management systems.
As a Federal OSHA certified auditor, Mr. Martin partners with employers to achieve status in the Voluntary Protection Program (VPP), Safety & Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) and the Public Entity Partnership Program (PEPP). The mission of these programs is to positively impact the safety culture of the workplace, increase production and efficiency as well as decreasing the cost premiums for worker compensation insurance.

Professional Experience:
Mr. Martin is a former Industrial Hygiene Consultant for Arizona Division of Occupational Safety and Health (ADOSH). During his time as a consultant for the OSHA State Plan, he took roll as a VPP/SHARP Audit Team lead and Auditor. Mr. Martin conducted multiple OSHA training classes specializing in the Respirable Crystalline Silica, Asbestos, Permit Required Confined Space, Bloodborne pathogens and Hazard Communication. Mr. Martin conducted hundreds of site visits throughout Arizona in general industry and construction settings. Duties included, comprehensive audits, industrial hygiene sampling, training, VPP/SHARP assessments, evaluating safety and health management programs and assisted with corrective actions from identified hazards.
